Interfacing the MV-1000 to the TM6701-AN camera from Pulnix
M-Vision 1000
The M-Vision 1000 (MV-1000) is a monochrome video digitizer board, which interfaces to the PCI bus. The MV-1000 product line includes a base board with analog camera support, a 3 Megabyte memory upgrade module (MV-1200), and a 8/10/16/32 bit digital interface module (MV-1100). Recent additions include the Color Camera Interface Module (CCIM), the MV-1300 (RGB color interface module) and the MV-1350 (Composite/S-Video/VCR color interface module).
Interfacing the MV-1000 to the TM6701-AN
The TM6701-AN from Pulnix is a square pixel, non-interlaced, 60 frames/second, 648H x 484V, black and white, full-frame shutter camera. By setting the speed switch on the back plate, the TM6701-AN can scan with double speed (525 lines per 60 Hz), two row scanning (242 lines at 120 Hz), partial scanning of 100 and 200 lines (full resolution at narrower field of view and faster frame rate). The MV-1000 can interface with this camera in all these configurations. The following changes need to be made to the standard RS170.INI camera configuration file under :\MV-1000\CAMCFG\RS170.INI. Before making the following changes, the RS170.INI file needs to be copied to TM6701AN.INI in order to preserve the original RS170.INI file.
[General Section]
Flag_Interlace = 0 ; since camera is non-interlaced
[PLL Control]
H_Period = 31.78 ;
H_Period is used internally to determine the PLL reference.
[Grab Window Control]
H_Offset=130 & V_Offset=40
All other values were retained the same as in the standard RS170.INI camera configuration file.
