All MuTech PCI Frame Grabbers are Windows XP Compatible

(Billerica, MA June 2002) –

MuTech Corporation is a leading manufacturer of high accuracy, high quality, leading edge video capture products for machine/industrial vision, robot vision, picture identification, traffic monitoring, image analysis and more. MuTech is pleased to announce that all MuTech PCI based frame grabbers are now compatible with Windows XP.

The M-Vision 510 is a low cost, high quality, monochrome PCI frame grabber. It is capable of digitizing RS-170/CCIR, or non-interlaced video from progressive scan cameras and transferring the digital data to system memory or the VGA display in real time. The M-Vision 500 captures composite RS-170/CCIR video. A trigger input allows detection of an event and generates an interrupt to grab the video. Video is captured in real time. All MV500 and MV-510 functionality is supported under Windows XP.

The IV-410 is an integrated VGA adapter with composite color video capture and display. The IV-460 is an integrated VGA adapter with high quality monochrome or RGB video capture from standard video or nonstandard video including progressive scan cameras. The VGA driver supplied by Microsoft under Windows XP traps and discards an interrupt used by the IV-410 or IV-460. So, a new Revision C2 IV-410 board has been released which compensates for the missing interrupt. The Revision B6 of the IV-460 addresses this same issue. The Rev. C2 IV-410 or Rev. B6 IV-460 requires software version 2.14 for Windows NT/2000/XP. Version 2.14 is backward compatible if Windows XP is not used.

The MV-1000 is general purpose monochrome video capture board. It has several daughter boards to support RGB, composite color or digital cameras. The MV-1500 is a general purpose digital video interface. The software for Windows NT/2000/XP is available for both these frame grabbers.

The MV-200 is an ISA bus based video capture board that is not supported under Windows XP. There are no plans to port the MV-200 software into the Windows XP environment.
