MuTech is pleased to announce LOCATE a normalized greyscale correlation search tool for the M-Vision 1000, M-Vision 500 and the IMAGE/VGA 400 series.
LOCATE combines a powerful, optimized search algorithm with real-time performance for accurate, easy to use pattern matching applications. This tool provides the capability to search a region of a target image for one or more instances of a taught model, making it ideal for alignment, pattern matching, OCR, or print quality inspection.
LOCATE is configured to run on personal computers
under Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 using the CPU as its processor (consult factory for DOS and Windows 95 support). It uses an enhanced NGC algorithm to perform the comparison between a model and a target on a pixel by pixel basis. Because the algorithm uses normalized correlation, the effect of contrast variations typically found in production environments can be minimized. LOCATE produces a score based on the degree in which there is a match between a model and a candidate image. The score varies between zero and one for a given area under consideration; the higher the score, the more similar that area is to the model with which it is being compared. Pattern matching can be achieved using the tool by defining a threshold; when the score returned from the tool is above the threshold, an instance of a pattern is deemed to be found.List price of LOCATE is $2,200.00.
