MuTech announces a new partner for the Image/VGA-450!

(Billerica, MA August 1998) – MuTech Corporation is a leading manufacturer of high accuracy, high quality, leading edge video capture products for machine/industrial vision, robot vision, medical imaging, image analysis and more.

MuTech is pleased to announce a free software copy of Edison (from Inventions Ltd.) a 32-bit windows program with the purchase of an Image/VGA 450 (from MuTech).

The Image/VGA 400 Series is a low cost, single slot, advanced frame grabber integrated with a 64-bit 3D accelerated VGA, based on the S3 VIRGE/DX chip. High quality video images can be digitized and displayed in real time inside a resizable video window on the computer’s VGA monitor. With the video window open, display resolutions range from 640 x 480 up to 1024 x 768 with pixel depths from 8 bits to 24 bits. A variety of inputs can be selected from video sources including RS-170, S-Video, NTSC and PAL. Digitized images are displayed as live, scaleable, video in a window. Text and graphics can be written into the VGA memory and, using a color key, overlayed non-destructively on top of live video. Chroma key is supported so that a background can be underlaid behind the video scene.

Edison is a new general-purpose 32-bit image processing package for Windows 95/NT. It offers a comprehensive range of basic point and click image processing tools without requiring any complex programming. Tools such as pixel counting, convolving and color conversion are available on easy to use menus for basic image analysis. Because the functions are written in optimized C, there is no delay caused to processing speeds. You can cut and paste code or simply modify Edison to fit your precise requirements. Over 400 imaging functions can be called from the dynamic link library.

List price of the board and software starts at $600.00. OEM quantity discounts available.
