New England Security & Communications, Inc. takes marketing role for MuTech Security Related Video capture products

(Billerica, MA March 1999) – NESC of Milford, MA and MuTech Corp. of Billerica, MA join in pursuit of security marketplace. Mr. John Morrissey, President of MuTech Corp., and Mr. Joseph Fitzpatrick, President of NESC, Inc. announced today the finalization of a distribution agreement for MuTech’s family of video capture products throughout the security marketplace, in the USA and abroad. Under the agreement, NESC will be responsible for the marketing and distribution of MuTech’s product line of security specific video capture hardware and software products.

MuTech’s products include hardware and software components suitable for simple still video capture requirements as well as for compressed live video applications. MuTech’s record of accomplishment in the machine vision business coupled with NESC’s twenty year history in the electronic security business made the arrangement a natural step toward marketing synergy, according to Mr. Morrissey, MuTech’s president and chief of operations. He added that the expansion of video applications through enhanced desktop platforms is driving the demand for better capture technology faster than was thought likely only a few years ago.

Mr. Fitzpatrick points out that both the expanding digital video ID market and the updating of video surveillance and electronic recording are making for opportunities that require new approaches. He maintains that media such as magnetic tape are being replaced by high capacity disk drives and that today’s more sophisticated and comprehensive software applications require the highest quality video capture hardware.
