(Billerica, MA May 1998) MuTech Corporation is a leading manufacturer of high accuracy, high quality, leading edge video capture products for machine/industrial vision, robot vision, medical imaging, image analysis and more. MuTech is pleased to announce the M-Vision 1008, the latest addition to the M-Vision 1000 family of products.
The M-Vision 1008 is a single slot, programmable analog frame grabber for the PCI bus. It captures from standard and non-standard cameras in 8 bits at rates up to 40 millions samples per second for high quality applications. The board has 8 bit LUTs; these output LUTs will modify the data that is copied from the on-board memory. The LUTs can operate on different sections of memory and be dynamically switched. The digitized video is stored in the on-board VRAM. An entire frame can be stored and transferred to system memory with only one interrupt generated. The one megabyte board memory can be expanded to a total of four megabyte with an optional memory expansion module from MuTech. Up to 8 cameras may be attached to a single M-Vision 1008. The M-Vision 1008 is currently in use in a machine vision application to read 2D bar codes and license plates at tollbooths.
The M-Vision 1008 is a plug and play board, the board memory and registers are all automatically assigned their addresses at system boot-up. The M-Vision 1008 act as a PCI bus master allowing transfers without requiring continuous host intervention.
The M-Vision 1008 software development kit enables OEMs and developers to program the board and create various applications using the C language. The software developers kit is available for DOS, Window 3.x, Windows 95 and Windows NT. The SDK provides a set of built-in configuration for programmers and OEMs to easily set-up the frame grabber to work with various camera configurations. files.
List price for the M-Vision 1008 is $1,650. OEM quantity discounts available.
