Integrated VGA Frame Grabber allows easy overlay of text and graphics with DMA transfer
(Billerica, MA July 2000) MuTech Corporation, a leading manufacturer of high accuracy, high quality, leading edge video capture products for machine/industrial vision, robot vision, picture identification, traffic monitoring, image analysis and more. MuTech is pleased to announce the Image/VGA-410 integrated VGA and video frame grabber.
The Image/VGA-410 is a low cost, high quality, color/monochrome PCI frame grabber and VGA graphics controller. It is capable of digitizing video and transferring the digital data to system memory or the VGA display in real time. The Image/VGA-410 captures composite NTSC/PAL, Y/C or RS-170/CCIR. A trigger input allows detection of an event and generates an interrupt to grab the video. Video is captured at 30 frames per second (NTSC) or 25 frames per second (PAL). Text and graphics can be easily mixed non-destructively with the live video image using a color key. The video data can be transferred to system memory by DMA allowing for real time uncompressed video sequences to be stored and played back from system memory. A 16 bit on board counter/timer allows control of integrating cameras.
The Image/VGA-410 uses the latest Savage 4D Pro VGA chip from S3 and comes with 8 or 16 Mbytes of on-board memory. Resolutions of up to 1280x1024x32 bit at 75 Hz refresh with a live video window are supported. Digitized images are displayed as live, scaleable, video in a window.
All boards are supplied with a software utility under DOS, Windows 95/98, and Windows NT/2000 allowing the user to grab, display, freeze, save (as .tif, .tga, or .bmp), or recall images. TWAIN and MCI drivers are provided for Windows 95/98 and Windows NT. A software developers kit is available allowing control of all board functions.
List price of the board is $700.00 for the 8 Mbyte version. OEM quantity discounts available.
