BACKGROUND INFORMATION


MuTech Offices MuTech is a privately held Massachusetts Corporation founded in 1988 to distribute high technology products internationally. In 1992 the company was re-focused to developing plug-in boards to IBM PC compatible computers that digitize images and display them on the computer's monitor. Since 1992, MuTech has developed 6 product lines of plug in boards ranging in price from $395.00 to $3,000.00, and software for compressing and storing images on the computer's hard disk. MuTech sold its products exclusively through Scentech, Inc. until July 31, 1994. Since August 1, 1994, MuTech assumed the sales and marketing functions from Scentech and has hired Scentech's personnel.

MuTech is focused on applications where the quality of the image is critical.

Applications include:

Industrial Vision: Measurement or Alignment Industrial Vision: operator assisted measurement or alignment of parts in a manufacturing process.
Machine Vision: Measurement, Alignment, Recognition, Presence Machine Vision: automatic computer measurement, alignment. character recognition, parts presence/absence with both area and line scan cameras.
Security Security: surveillance, CCTV, DVR-digital video recording, time lapse, compression, motion detection, picture ID badges
Image Analysis: Biomedical Instrumentation, Microscopy, Cell Counting Image Analysis: biomedical instrumentation for automatic electrophoresis analysis, cell counting, microscopic analysis.

Distribution
MuTech sells directly to OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) that incorporate MuTech products in their systems and resell the systems to end-users. MuTech's products are also supported by third party software packages that are generally resold through a network of value added dealers. These dealers package the third party software with MuTech's products and typically  integrate them with a computer, camera, monitor, and sometimes microscopes, then resell the package to the end-user.

MuTech has exclusive international distributors in Europe, Israel and Asia as well as two system integrators in Mexico. Thirty-five percent (35%) of MuTech's business is international.

From Logan Airport:

Take I-93 North to exit 37B Waltham  I-95 South (formerly 128).   From I-95 take exit 32A, Route 3 North.  From Route 3 take exit 29 (Route 129) take a left at the end of the ramp.  Approximately 1/2 mile on the right is Rangeway Road.  Turn right onto Rangeway and about 1/4 mile on the right is Forrest Ridge.   Take a right into the parking lot, Mutech is on the second floor.  Door to door is approximately 41 minutes.    

From the South:

Take I-95 North to exit 32A-B (Lowell/Nashua), Route 3 North.  From Route 3 take exit 29 (Route 129) take a left at the end of the ramp.  Approximately 1/2 mile on the right is Rangeway Road.  Turn right onto Rangeway and about 1/4 mile on the right is Forrest Ridge.  Take a right into the parking lot, Mutech is on the second floor.

From the North:

Take Route 3 South to exit 29 (Route 129) take a right at end of the exit.   Approximately 1/2 mile on the right is Rangeway Road.  Turn right onto Rangeway and about 1/4 mile on the right is Forrest Ridge.  Take a right into the parking lot, Mutech is on the second floor.
