Principal Hardware Engineer

Job Description

Responsible for designing PC based Video Digitizer and/or Streaming Video products serving Industrial Inspection and Medical Imaging markets, including the following stages:

	Product specification and architectural design;
	Key component selection and programmable chip design;
	Overseeing the board layout design and debugging;
	Product testing and release process, also involvement in technical documentation.

Requirements

Education
Master Degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

	At least five (5) yr. working experience with participation in all phases of a commercial board level product design, either independently or as a leader of small group.
	Experience on high-resolution imaging/video/graphics board design. Finished at least one project in those fields (no less than 1 yr. project).
	Experience on FPGA or PLD design. Comfortable with one of the design languages, VHDL or Verilog.
	Familiar with PCI/AGP bus specifications (did a project for at least 1 yr.).
	Familiar with high speed multi-port memory controller design.

Other pluses

	Some analog CKT experience, knowledge of TV standards.
	Knowledge of video compression technology.
